My wife and I visited one of our favorite Vietnamese restaurants: Classic Saigon. After trying nearly every item on the menu, we found our favorite dishes. We both like the hot and spicy chicken Classic Saigon style. I like my vegetables and found the beef with fresh mushrooms to top my tasty list. The food was great as always. What Nick dislikes about Classic Saigon:
Nothing classic about this place. If you're Asian or know Asian food. Avoid this place. Pho broth has no flavor. Broth taste like water with artificial flavor. Condiments is only siricha hoisin sauce. Where is the chili oil, black pepper, fish sauce, fried garlic? Pho didn't feel authentic. The chef who made it is probably not Asian. The chicken pho was very good and the service was great too. Flavorful broth is what makes pho good, and this broth was delicious.
Preston was our server. He was working all alone, and rocked it!! What great service! The food was good. Some typical items, as well as some yummy house specialties. Just go!
Vibes were great, food was like a warm hug, service was kind. Got the tofu spring rolls (best I’ve had in the Twin Cities so far), beef brisket pho, and mock duck pho. Super good and flavorful. Highly recommend eating in and enjoying the nice music!
Owner was funny and helpful, confident in his food. You HAVE to get the egg rolls. Breaded perfectly and delicious. The Pho was lovely on a damp rainy day. Definitely recommend!
I love the baby bokchoy best but the egg rolls are special as well. The Jasmine tea was fragrant! The owner is a delightful host.
