Have love Hucks Catfish since I was in High School. 20 plus years ago.
Kirsten was a joy ! She helped us with the menu selections. Catfish was plump cooked just right. Creamed spinach is a delight. Tomato relish onions were a nice touch. Apricot cobbler is so GOOD ! I loved everything except the hush puppies.
Everything about this location is excellent. The only negative is the original creator owner John has sold the establishment. John was as much a part of Hucks as the catfish on the menu. While ran by John, the prices were always fair, and small birthday celebration deserts such as a small cup of peach cobbler were free. Now, under this new owner, Carroll, I believe was the name I was told. The prices have gone way up, and there is now a charge for the good customer relations birthday deserts. Plus, unlike John, the original owner , who walked around to each table to check and converse with his customers! This new owner wasn't even in the building.
I ordered food to go and everyone was so nice and attentive! Food was great and I most definitely will be back!
