We enjoyed a delicious lunch today at Huck's! Catfish was the main feature all around our table and it did not disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their fish and the homemade tartar sauce was fresh and creamy....so good! I think that the hush puppies came in as second favorite....they were warm, crispy on the outside and deliciously tender on the inside. Everyone enjoyed the various sides that were chosen, the portions were generous and tasty. Our waitress took excellent care of us, making sure the water and sodas were filled as needed. We are looking forward to our next visit!
The restaurant it's self had a nice cozy feel to it. With great employees waiting to tend to your every need with an amazing attitude, and food to match their charm, you can't go wrong with this place! There bathrooms, dining, and waiting areas were decently clean too. I'm gluten free and had never tried catfish before, so the crispy, fried, mouthwatering catfish was a dream come true. Can't wait to come back again!
Very solid catfish! All the food we had was very good for a spot off the highway in North Texas. We had a vegetarian with us and she was able to find good vegetables and fries. The peach cobbler had a nice flavor. The highlight was the catfish with clean white meat, not muddy. Could use a little kick for a Mississippi style as claimed. A half order is plenty for most humans. Will probably go back sometime in the future as my son lives up there now.
