I'm not quite sure how I first discovered Cafe Blackbird, especially since I live in Lubbock, but I immediately followed them on social media because the food photos were so appetizing. I had planned to drive 160 miles to visit when they were still located in Quanah, but I never made it there. Finally, last Friday, while I was visiting my sister in Dallas, we decided to check it out since we were only 70 miles away now that the restaurant has moved to Denison. I was NOT disappointed. We both had the tomato basil soup; I ordered the Greek sandwich while my sister had the Turkey Cranwich. For dessert, we shared the blueberry coffee cake and Hummingbird Cake. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. It truly exceeded my expectations! We spent the rest of the day exploring the antique shops, making it a lovely day in Denison. I can't wait to dine at Cafe Blackbird again soon.
Our favorite restaurant! The food is amazing, the service is top-notch, and the staff is wonderful. When you find yourself thinking about the meal days later, you know it was exceptional. We can’t wait for our next visit!
This is an outstanding family-owned and operated café! I can't resist ordering their toasted turkey sandwich every time I visit because it's just so delicious! And don't even get me started on their baked goods—they're fantastic! The atmosphere is lovely for meeting up with friends, and they have a charming little book nook, along with friendly baristas!
