Now 15.15 and our plates have not been cleared and we have not had anyone to ask if we wanted anymore drinks or like deserts. An apology would be quite nice, food was good when it did arrive what a shame

Inside there was a lovely b... read more My first visit after refurbishment. The car park had plenty of cars, always a good sign, and the new decor was modern and welcoming. Inside there was a lovely buzz about the place, plenty of space and a decent menu. On ordering at the bar, I was warned there was a party of about 40 being catered for. They had no impact on my visit as my food came in good time and the bread which came with the soup was divine and worth going back for. I was able to get my work done and this is very much on my I 'll be back list of places to eat.

I was in the Daventry area meeting up with some old work friends for the weekend and typical blokes we didn't think about booking somewhere for the 6 of us to e... read more I was in the Daventry area meeting up with some old work friends for the weekend and typical blokes we didn't think about booking somewhere for the 6 of us to eat on the Saturday night. One of the guy's mentioned that he had eaten at the Middlemore Farm previously and had an excellent meal there. . So off we went to chance our luck as I guessed they would be busy being peak time. . We were greeted by Paul the General Manager who sorted us out with a table while we had a beer in the bar. . That started our evening off perfectly. A waitress came and seated us and asked if we wanted some more beers while we looked at the menu, as you might guess 6 beers headed our way within minutes. Our food order was swiftly taken, I think we all ordered steaks and of course a couple of bottles of merlot to wash them down. . The food arrived fairly quickly considering there place was busy. The steaks were well presented, hot and delicious. The red wine gravy that I had with mine was amazing and they chunky chips were the best I've tasted in a long time. Overall myself and my friends couldn't fault the service and the food quality excelled my expectations. The pub is well presented, clean and has a great feel. The Manager seems to have a great team that can't do enough for you. We shall be back again the next time we meet up and we promise to book next time.
