Booked for Sunday lunch for people. at the arrival had a long wait as expected to be shown waiting for our table, then after placing our drinks and food order h... read more Booked for Sunday lunch for people. at the arrival had a long wait as expected to be shown waiting for our table, then after placing our drinks and food order had to wait minutes for our drinks and find almost minutes for our food only it had to crack and stuff as they had expired. the food quality was very good, but the long waiting times in a fairly crowded opposite were disappointing. would not have been that eating this place would have been poor.

I was in the Daventry area meeting up with some old work friends for the weekend and typical blokes we didn't think about booking somewhere for the 6 of us to e... read more I was in the Daventry area meeting up with some old work friends for the weekend and typical blokes we didn't think about booking somewhere for the 6 of us to eat on the Saturday night. One of the guy's mentioned that he had eaten at the Middlemore Farm previously and had an excellent meal there. . So off we went to chance our luck as I guessed they would be busy being peak time. . We were greeted by Paul the General Manager who sorted us out with a table while we had a beer in the bar. . That started our evening off perfectly. A waitress came and seated us and asked if we wanted some more beers while we looked at the menu, as you might guess 6 beers headed our way within minutes. Our food order was swiftly taken, I think we all ordered steaks and of course a couple of bottles of merlot to wash them down. . The food arrived fairly quickly considering there place was busy. The steaks were well presented, hot and delicious. The red wine gravy that I had with mine was amazing and they chunky chips were the best I've tasted in a long time. Overall myself and my friends couldn't fault the service and the food quality excelled my expectations. The pub is well presented, clean and has a great feel. The Manager seems to have a great team that can't do enough for you. We shall be back again the next time we meet up and we promise to book next time.
