We visited here in June 2023. Then it was a great pub, friendly staff, comfortable and great Everard's Ales, but with an underwhelming menu. Today the menu was much improved and the quality was excellent. Great sea bass, superb (and large) sticky toffee pudding with real custard (the latter a rarity nowadays). Remains a lovely pub. Great real ales. Was extremely busy (we booked for a Friday at 6.30 pm) and staff were working really hard but remained cheerful, friendly and helpful. Service was prompt but at no time did we feel rushed.

Great place for a sunny day, delicious food and the service was incredible, really great friendly staff. We had food in the restaurant then found a table outside to sit and have a drink watching the boats go by. Lovely!

Charming “traditional” pub with incredibly good food and a wide range of excellent cask beers. Lovely staff

A stopping place as part of a towpath walk. It has the feel of a real canal side pub. Comfortable friendly excellent beers and in the fascinating centre of English canals. Also very tolerant of our muddy boots and muddy dogs!
