We had traveled for the day of Victoria and had no breakfast yet. It went at 1:00 and we were hungry. It was a Sunday in October and somehow low season for the city so some places were closed. We came to Get Phil 'd Up and they had their menu listed on a table at the front door and were tempted by eggs in a basket and eggs on tacos with organic fried beans. We live in Mexico in winter, so we are usually not so impressed by Canadian versions of Mexican food, that is, to this day. The food was amazing, the front poor atmosphere with many locals hanging out, their beautiful dog and the chef were so warm and friendly. Phil mentioned spending a lot of time in Gaudalajara, who said why my food was so good! Try your success Phil!
We 'd travelled from Victoria for the day and not had breakfast yet. It was going on 1:00 p.m. and we were hungry. It was a Sunday in October and kind of off season for the town so quite a few places were closed. We came upon Get Phil 'd Up and they had their menu listed on a blackboard by the front door and were enticed by the eggs in a basket and the eggs on tacos with organic refried beans. We live in Mexico in the Winter, so we 're usually not so impressed with Canadian versions of Mexican food, that is, until today. The food was amazing, the front poorch-like atmosphere with lots of locals hanging out, their lovely dog and the head chef were so warm and friendly. Phil mentioned spending extensive time in Gaudalajara which spoke to why my food was so darn good! Cheers to your every success Phil!
