We came here for lunch on the advice of a local family member. The inside of this restaurant has beautiful views of Cowichan Bay. The seafood chowder is the best I've ever had but it was served warm rather than hot. The portion sizes are a little on the small side (only 2 fish tacos rather than 3.?) Heading back south from Comox on a Saturday of a long weekend we knew we might be in a spot to find a good place to eat when we were ready.
The food was absolutely amazingThe view incredibleThe service was slow and server inattentive.
I cannot comment on the food -- because after we were seated, we never heard from our server againNo eye contact, no smile, nada.
There is nothing like a window table for a meal when you're overlooking a harbour. It was a beautiful day, and we were seated promptly. Ordered the Crab Melt with Fries, and another friend had the Fish and Chips. We all enjoyed our meals and we would definitely go back. They have a nice looking bar area that looks like it would fun to go for "Happy Hour."
My husband ordered the halibut fish and chips and while the 4 of us enjoyed our dinner his piece of halibut was unbelievably small. The price was $16 so not cheap for,one little piece of fish.
