My wife and I ate here on 8/18/17. We are from Texas and just driving Hwy 2 E to see the sights. Saw the patio and stopped. The view is the selling point. Service was good but food is just average. Did like the local tap beer. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Blue Anchor Restaurant:
I was treating my friend to lunch and the Blue Anchor is in the neighbourhood and convenient. Unfortunately, they have not changed their menu in years and it's the same old boring fare...I had the club sandwich which was fine,but tomatoes were not ripe. Well well well what have we here A very positive review for the Blue Anchor in Cornwall, Ontario.
Had not been for a long time as I heard the food was not as good as it had been. WRONG! It was excellent the fish chips, the shriimp, scallop bruchetta , the buffalo chicken and the fries were all excellent as was...the service. I will be returning soon.
Was out for a drive on Saturday showing the in-law's around Eastern Ontario. Came across the Blue Anchor. Went in, staff were welcoming, and overall very friendly place. My wife had the perch and I the chicken ranch wrap. Both very good meals. I had...coffee, which was a never ending cup, I was the driver..... Overall a great experience, will be making a point to going there again when in the neighborhood!
Fresh food with great prices. Love sitting on the deck over looking the river. Excellent location. Quick and friendly service.
The Blue Anchor offers a lovely location on the St. Lawrence River and you can even dine outside in warmer weather. It is usually packed on Friday nights so it may be hard to get a seat without waiting. The food is great and very...casual. Sitting at the bar is always fun too. Great staff as well.
