Not really a tourist pub but the locals were very friendly. Jennings bitter was spot on. Proper pub.

It’s really good if any body works shifts as they serve till 3.45 pm , it is advisable to book if your going later as they stop serving if they run out of meats they have a good selection of sweets and always have my favourite garlic mushrooms and a couple of different soups/ broths, 10/10 for me in a little village pub .

Plenty of veg. 2 courses small portion is 7.50 . Large meals are not expensive either. Very good value. The lamb was delicious and my mother had ham. All very tasty. We will visit again. The pub was recommended. But we use to visit when the carriage was the dining room. That was along time ago. The meals have not changed in quality. Still excellent. The drinks were very reasonable price too. The staff which make it very excellent. Book a table is advisable.
