Barbara was so warm and welcoming she told us about lo... read more We had a fabulous day here. We’d walked Scafell Pike during the day and booked an Annex as we have a dog. Barbara was so warm and welcoming she told us about local spots and where to go, and even moved round a few things so she could fit us in for dinner that evening (I’d recommend booking ahead on a Saturday). Food was good pub food, drinks great, dog was SPOILT (many sausages from the kitchen) and we had a great time. Rooms had everything you needed, and breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. Well worth the visit if also climbing the mountains and want somewhere to crash.

Staff were friendly and informative. We ate in the restaurant that night and food was delicious. Highly recommend their pies. Breakfast was equally as good. We will definitely return.

All I hope is that I I will be lucky enough to stay again sometime. A huge thank you for looking after us so beautifully and ro the fun locals who made our night so much fun. What a welcome.
