The funnest ice cream I’ve had. Which flavor will be your favorite chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House (vanilla with cherries and walnuts), pistachio, or orange sherbet? View all feedback. What Jožef Založnik doesn't like about Original Rainbow Cone :
seriously good. I drove off the far north side to get my own birthday cake and a friend said it was the perfect "cancake ice ratio we ate it for 4 days because it was so good and stayed perfect in the freezer. of course I had to take a cone. it is a chicagoer tradition. if they can't make it 92nd and western, then the ice lkw will stalk in summer. read moreExperience the funnest ice cream at this Southside staple that has been open for an impressive 95 years. The friendly staff ensures that even though lines can be long, the wait is never too bad. Indulge in delicious flavors like chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House (vanilla with cherries and walnuts), pistachio, or orange sherbet. Don't miss out on their famous Rainbow Cone, which has a perfect balance of flavors. The fresh donuts being made on-site add to the overall charm of the place. And for a truly authentic Chicago experience, be sure to try a cone - a local tradition. This is definitely a spot worth visiting, even if you have to drive far for it.
