Avoid Wicker Park location! Was very watery with no flavor. Ordered classic deep dish and the Lou deep dish. Tastes like a frozen pizza that was thrown in the oven. Crust was very mushy and I can 't stress enough how it tasted just like water. Also, it 's carry out only. Only go to the Michigan Ave location. View all feedback.

read moreThe restaurant in question has a location in Wicker Park that should be avoided due to watery, flavorless deep dish pizzas that taste like frozen pies thrown in the oven. The crust is mushy and lacks flavor, making it a disappointing experience. However, the Michigan Ave location is recommended as a better alternative. Delivery orders may also have issues, as one customer experienced a burnt, non-deep dish pizza and an altercation with the delivery person. Thin crust options also received negative reviews, with undercooked, floppy crusts and plasticy cheese lacking in flavor. However, a medium thin crust with cheese and sausage received praise for fresh ingredients and excellent service, with only a higher price point as a downside. Despite some shortcomings, the restaurant was enjoyed by many and even compared favorably to NYC pizza, especially in terms of flavorful sauce. Overall, the pizza was found to be enjoyable, with the potential for improvement in certain areas. The restaurant is primarily take-out only, but offers tasty food and good service at various locations.
My favorite pizza place on earthI discovered Lou's when someone mistakenly delivered some frozen Lou's to my home in Denver over Christmas.
As part of my tour of chicago, i decided to try some deep dish and this local chain floated to the top of my yelp list i placed my order for pick up, there
We were only in Chicago for a few days, so we HAD to get a deep dish pizza in our system! Apparently Lou Malnati's is the way to go? I didn't know there
