What AMV V likes about Cafe 63:
I think this place was great! Was a little concerned when I saw it wasn't busy, but I think people are just not aware of this place. Food was good, on par with most GOOD Chicago breakfast spots. This restaurant is a hidden gem in a down-to-earth neighborhood. It's not your typical breakfast spot - everything is made from scratch here. While the Tater Tots may not be homemade, the French fries are hand cut. The menu is surprisingly diverse, and the owner, who is a veteran chef, personally prepares all the dishes. read moreCafe 63 is a hidden gem in Andersonville, offering homemade dishes made by a veteran chef. The cozy atmosphere and attentive staff create a welcoming environment where regulars feel like old friends. The diverse menu includes unique specials, with food cooked perfectly and not overly salty. Prices are mid-range, not cheap eats as listed online. The outside seating allows for a comfortable dining experience. The Western omelet, chicken waffles, and New York strip special are fan favorites. Overall, Cafe 63 is a charming neighborhood spot with delicious cuisine and friendly service, making it a must-visit in Chicago.
A warm and inviting atmosphere, with outstanding service from the staff and hosts.
