What Global Librarian doesn't like about Axel's Chanhassen:
We have been eating at Axel’s for years. It has always been a family favorite. We have now been here three times since they were purchased by the new owners and we all agreed we were done. The food is greasy and bland. Even the French Onion soup was greasy! The meals arrived cold, dry and overcooked. And the famous popovers? They now charge you for them and they were rubbery and tough. Went there for a company function. They placed all of us in a spacious area. Drinks were well made. Food was well prepared. Staff was friendly and helpful. The burger option was a little overcooked and dry. The chicken parm needed a little favor. The chicken was tender and juicy.
