What Anonym dislikes about Tenant:
This restaurant might be the worst I’ve ever experienced in the Midwest and in my life. The staff was extremely rude, and the drinks tasted like bath water. The atmosphere was elitist and not welcoming at all, which really detracts from the dining experience. It’s a shame to see such a poor representation of South Minneapolis. View all feedback.
We had an amazing time. Service was top notch, food was delicious and ambiance was welcoming and cozy. Everyone treated you like friend/family. Definitely recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I never realized how much time we spend looking at menus, debating what to order, and waiting for food--until we spent an evening at Tenant. With no menu to mull over, we were free to simply enjoy the experience. The six-course meal was abundant in flavor, each dish meticulously crafted like a piece of art. The energy and creativity poured into every course were nothing short of mind-blowing. Tenant delivers a high-class yet low-key dining experience--cozy, warm, and effortlessly refined. A must-visit for any food lover. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Dinner
I visited Tenant 's bar Next Door with my family over the holidays and had an extremely uncomfortable experience with the chef owner. As I was waiting outside the bathroom, the the chef came out from the kitchen and stood close to me, not moving. When I asked if I was in the way, he said no but that he wanted to just stare at me, but not talk . I tried to laugh it off, but was very uncomfortable as he continued to stand there staring at me. Eventually he walked away, give me a fist bump, and said don 't hold this against the bar, just me. My family and I paid our bill and left immediately. After my experience, I took a look at other reviews and have seen multiple other reviews with similar experiences of the owner being incredibly rude, hostile, and creepy. I hope something is done about this, and I would avoid coming here. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Fun experience. My favorite course was the steak tartare. The “main” courses were an adorable play on a summertime bbq spread with the most delicious bbq sauce ever. The wines were well paired with the different courses. Also, I have to say, at $120 per person for the meal and wines $80 food/$40 wine), Tenant is an excellent value. This restaurant is an absolute must try. We have been back numerous times and they never disappoint. You can see the passion these chefs have for food and for the dining experience. The environment is cozy, intimate, and welcoming. The food tastes out of this world and I always leave so full and satisfied. Drinks are crafted wonderfully and taste phenomenal. The price is very reasonable for a tasting menu and for the experience you get there. This restaurant deserves to have a Michelin star. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
