Was Anonym at People's a mag?
My girlfriend and I visited peoples restaurant and I can't speak highly enough of it. The food was well presented and the staff made sure we felt very comfortable and wore well catered for. We will be visiting here again I'm sure. I would highly recommend this place for dinner. UPDATE: Visited people's restaurant while visiting Cavan. Nice décor, friendly staff, well looked after. What Anonym dislikes about People's:
Food was OK. Prawn pil pil was more like prawn with a Thai green curry sauce, served in a pil pil dish. Not quite pil pil. Crispy duck tasted nice but was not crispy. Duck needs to be cooked from a cold pan to render out all the fat. It 's quicker to use a hot pan, but 'flabby duck ' sounds less appealing on the menu. Service was good. Couldn't fault our experience tonight. As always the food was excellent and the cocktails are genuinely interesting and top quality, by far the best in Cavan, but could also go toe-to-toe with most of the well respected cocktail bars out there. The staff are trained extremely well and give the impression that there's is a vocation, rather than just a job. None more so than James, he is a credit to the establishment and is excellent at all aspects of hospitality. Couldn't recommend People's enough!

This place was recommended to us as we were staying in Cavan. Had the most delicious Thai prawn curry…EVER! Husband had the chicken satay for starter which he said was amazing and then had the fish chips which was delicious. Crème brûlée was also amazing and I rarely have desert. Overall the place is beautiful and the staff are just lovely. Can’t wait to go back some day.
