Was Anonym at People's a mag?
My girlfriend and I visited peoples restaurant and I can't speak highly enough of it. The food was well presented and the staff made sure we felt very comfortable and wore well catered for. We will be visiting here again I'm sure. I would highly recommend this place for dinner. UPDATE: Visited people's restaurant while visiting Cavan. Nice décor, friendly staff, well looked after. What Anonym dislikes about People's:
Food was OK. Prawn pil pil was more like prawn with a Thai green curry sauce, served in a pil pil dish. Not quite pil pil. Crispy duck tasted nice but was not crispy. Duck needs to be cooked from a cold pan to render out all the fat. It 's quicker to use a hot pan, but 'flabby duck ' sounds less appealing on the menu. Service was good. Big restaurant in a hotel; it's got multiple dining halls. Very well eaten. Good service. We got there on a Friday night with six men without reservation. Soon, some tables were kicked together so we could eat there.
The restaurant is nice . The food was lovely, but the bar service was a little slow. Not many people in it when we were there and there was 14 of us. The price was very reasonable
Ok. I threw the dice and it didn't land. My starter was awesome, as was my wife's. Her main was EXTRAORDINARY but mine was not to my taste. My fault. Clearly the food was expertly prepared. The place is also beautiful (as is the bar next door). Drinks are spot on with lots to choose from. Mid range pricing and great bang for buck. But the staff.... They are just the best. Bravo.
Absolutely loved it. Food was top notch. Staff couldn't have been any nicer. Seating was great.
