This hidden gem is just steps away from the base of the hill. It’s a place where large groups gather, and the atmosphere is relaxed—“come as you are.” Guests casually dine in their ski gear while enjoying a great meal and drinks. The staff was cheerful and accommodating. I requested a surprise for my meal, asking them to pick something substantial for me to enjoy, and they delivered perfectly. I’m certain I’ll return... What User doesn't like about Socal Kitchen:
I experienced rude service from a man who appeared to be the manager. I had heard good things about their vegan options, but he was unhelpful when I asked about what could be made vegan. The tofu stir-fry was moist and creamy but had an overwhelming vinegar taste. Interestingly, they did not charge me for my meal, which they said "didn't look that way" for some reason. This is the restaurant in the village which has found the balance between fun food and healthy food. So, the menu will appeal to everyone at your table. Try the fish tacos as an appetizer or really go for it with the poutine short rib. My wife loves the quinoa salad. The mains offer variety but I usually opt for the California burger because of the chipotle and avocado toppings. It is a cozy space in winter and has a patio that is a winner for people watching at lunch and spectacular sunsets at dinner.
Poor service. Could not check in or give a name to get a table. Very lame.
This place is burger heaven! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the guacamole is amazing—I love it!
