What Lura Bednar doesn't like about ArtCan Gallery:
It is wonderful to see this gallery with an eyecatching exterior in the heart of the little village of Canning. I was anticipating a selection of works from more than one artist but this gallery is dedicated to the one artist who owns the building....In the future it would be great to see other artists displaying their work. My husband and I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the sandwich special which was a Tandori chicken sandwich and it came with a salad. It had a good flavour and came on fresh bread. I ordered the Thai Buddha salad which had rice noodles, lettuce, peanuts, mango, tomatoes and other stuff that I can't remember, and I really liked it. It had a spicy lime dressing, which was spicy enough that it made my nose run, but I absolutely loved it. The salad was really fresh and I would highly recommend it. My husband ordered a chocolate macaroon cookie for dessert, and he said it was really good and chocolatey. I ordered the creme brule which was a vanilla creme brule which had a thin chocolate topping. It is probably one of the best creme brule's that I have ever had. The chef was there on his own so he was doing both the cooking and serving, and doing them very well. It is a pretty little spot with big windows for looking out on the park, and artwork on the walls. I am already looking forward to going back again.
Amazing pizzas in a beautiful understated space in the St Kilda area.
I really enjoyed this restaurantI went there recently and had a Speciale pizza and shared the dessert bread with chocolate sauce.
Food allergies are taken into consideration carefully at this restaurant, with a variety of dishes catered to those who need to be mindful of what they eat. Despite having milk and wine sensitivities, we had no trouble finding delicious menu options. The desserts were especially tasty. Our server Amy was welcoming, funny, and attentive, providing excellent service. The chef's innovative food ideas and creations were impressive. Additionally, Ron has a gallery and studio located nearby, showcasing his graphic art.
This was only my second visit to this lovely café. My friends and I prefer to eat light, and the menu offered us several options to satisfy our small appetites. I decided on the daily soup, which was ginger and carrot, and the pulled smoked chicken panini. Both dishes were delicious. The soup was pureed with just a hint of ginger, and the panini was the perfect size - slightly smaller than usual - and filled with finely chopped smoked chicken, curry, and feta cheese. This combination of soup and panini was just what I needed for a light lunch. I ended my meal with a cup of freshly brewed coffee that had just the right strength.
