The service was absolutely terrific and the food was excellent. There is an interesting shop in front of the restaurant. Great ambience. In-house made salad dressings (lemon poppyseed for me!) were delicious. We went two nights because we enjoyed it immensely. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rosie's Restaurant:
We were visiting Wolfville the other week. The weather was lovely so we wanted to find someplace to sit outside. We chose Rosie's on Front Street which is the backside of Paddy's Pub. The little deck was really nice. Unfortunately it was quite windy so...More View all feedback.
The Vegan Competition/Nußburger was really good. peanut free. That's pretty much for what you get, but it was great.
The Vegan beet/nut burger was really good. Peanut free. Quite much for what you get but it was great.
This continues to be one of the worst restaurants in New Minas. When we moved here almost 3 years ago, we were told that this restaurant ranked about the best in the area. We went there several times for dinner; then, the quality of food deteriorated. That has nothing to do with the pandemic. The menu is extraordinarily boring because it never changes. Often we asked why our favourite dessert Red Velvet Cake was off the menu. We never got a reasonable explanation. Instead, we were offered the same boring desserts. One can only speculate how long these boring desserts have been nesting in the display unit. One would think that if this restaurant was interested in building and strengthening its client base, that it would try to include items in their menu that have been requested several times. And, of course, have you ever heard of a restaurant not serving ice cream? Despite the number of times I have requested ice cream and red velvet cake, my requests have indeed fallen on deaf ears. A couple of nights ago, I ordered a cup of seafood chowder and was served a bowl of this soup. I ate two tablespoons of soup and sent the soup back. It was far too salty and it looked like a bowl of vomit. I think that this restaurant is in its death throes. As with the Applewood Restaurant, it seems that the entertainment value of the staff keeps the restaurant running. It is unlikely that I will ever return to this restaurant. Jim Cardinal
Disclaimer, Covid practices were very well in place so could have contributed to our poor experience but we 've visited in the past and the food was much better. The visit this time was not good. Their Covid measures were excellent though! Very thorough. However, we ordered the mozza sticks (were served barely warm), the fish and chips was fine but nothing great, the philly cheese steak sandwich was not edible. It was greasy, the bread was soggy, the cheese and veggies hid a miniscule amount of poor quality steak bits , it made me feel nauseous after a few bites because it was actually gross. The service was horribly slow albeit friendly. Sadly, we won 't go back there are too many great places to eat. We did not eat at Paddy 's pub adjacent so this is not a reflection on their pub.
Worst food and service I've ever had. 9 of us and food was gross for everyone. Curry pasta disgusting, beer flat, fish cakes tasted like salt and Caesar salad had no taste. Not to mention took 45 mins to get our bill. Won't be going again.
