Contribute FeedbackAlloy received mixed reviews about their service and food quality. Some praised the delicious dishes and excellent service, while others were disappointed with the slow service and food quality. The venue itself was appreciated by many, despite the off-putting exterior. The cost was considered high, but many felt it was worth it for the quality of service and food. While some dishes exceeded expectations, others were dry or lacked in portion size. Overall, Alloy is a mixed bag, with highlights and disappointments, making it a hit or miss dining experience for patrons.
Great restaurant! We were lucky enough to get a table on their patio close to the fountain and brook. Their menu is excellent, pork tenderloin, steelhead trout, beef short ribs etc. They offer a tempura shrimp dish as an appetizer, and I have had that before, but on this hot night I chose the watermelon salad which was perfect. Whether a business lunch, dinner or a romantic evening out, Alloy is one of my favorites in Calgary.
The best appetizers were the shrimp tempura and gnocchi, both were absolutely amazing. For our mains, we ordered the short rib and NY steak, both were fantastic. We will definitely be returning.
Fantastic as usual! Great food, great service, great environment!
Great service, charming and knowledgeable! Superb varied menu and great chic decor. The giant hare in the parking lot was a wildlife surprise!
The food and ambience at Alloy was excellent. The service was fine until the end. I paid and tipped 18% then the long aggressive stare from the tall handsome server trying to intimidate and shame me. It was a corporate lunch and I can expense 18% but above that I meet with grief. If a $27 tip on lunch doesn't cut it for a server bringing out a few plates of food and some water in an hour doesn't cut it he should take another job or they should fire him. Not sure if I will go back.
