Best value and prices in the Arts Centre precinct. We started our day at GOMA but couldn't afford to feed our family of 5 there so we had a look at the Library Café. They were also above our budget. Fearing that we would have to take the kids to Macca's on the way home we made one last ditch effort to get food before getting in the car. Collector's Café had a 15 minute queue but it was worth it. We bought 3... View all feedback.
What Beulah Lubowitz doesn't like about Muse Cafe:
Extremely overpriced for such poor quality. I ordered a salmon sandwich from the display fridge and it took 15 minutes for them to put it on a plate. When I finally got my order, there was barely anything on the bread and the salmon smelt off and all I could taste was the overpowering saltiness. I also had a small chips which were stale and under-salted. This 'meal ' cost me just under $20. I would not recommend this... View all feedback.
Very disappointing experience. it took minutes to get an overpriced coffee with taking, without apologising or recognizing from the personal at all. there is obviously no attempt to keep the repeated business of natives, which as well as the gallery cafe and library cafe are served by first-class employees.
Is very disappointed in the staff at this cafe. The line was bad. Getting kids their meal was one thing. One lady told me to go around the front to order the food at the front. So that's what I did. And the counter is closed. Not a happy customer. I did not want to line up once again to get something to eat. Will not be coming here again.
The food is good and at a decent price given the location. The place does seem either a bit under-staffed or lacking a little hustle. Toasting a pre-made sandwich took longer than it should have. The outside eating area also loses its appeal with mounting rubbish; a combo of lazy patrons that can't bin their own wrappers, a breeze that blows the rubbish around and staff occupied elsewhere not able to clear tables.
Diana. Am listing this as a Favourite due to the coffee I had on the specific day I went there. Was blown away by it can still taste it now! Was Lavaza blend, which I don't normally go for in a big way, but this was made exceptionally well . Was also hot because I always order my coffee that way, which is a good thing to do these days as most baristas do around the degree mark. Was a lady barista the flavour was rich full bodied the texture creamy smooth. The strength was all there, so much so had to check to see if there was a double shot, but no there was only a single-suprise! Oh the price for a large size cup?
I had roasted the roasted vegetable steamer and it was delicious. the barista seemed distracted, but both employees were very pleasant and helpful.
