Description

Jackpot Dining offers a mixed bag of experiences for its customers. While some visitors found the food to be average at best, with dishes tasting odd and lacking quality, others were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and delicious flavors. The ambience received mixed reviews as well, with some noting a pleasant exterior but lackluster interior decor. The service was considered prompt and efficient, although some customers felt the staff could be stingy and unhelpful at times. Overall, Jackpot Dining seems to cater to those looking for a quick, inexpensive meal, with varying opinions on food quality and service.

The hokkien noodles were delicious. Dumpling noodles not bad and the fried chicken wings pretty good (outstanding for the jackpot price of $2). The food comes out fast and the staff are friendly.

Had a quick lunch here because haven’t tried this before. Had the BBQ pork rice and it was reasonable, had better and portions were quite small but at the price of $9 in the CBD it’s hard to complain. It’s a very no frills restaurant like a pub where you would order at the counter and you get your own utensils. Service was fast and efficient

The Meals that you order does not match the photo. I doubt that the main meals that you order are freshly cooked. Rather microwaved to reheat. The Bbq Pork was like rubber as was the Sweet snd sour Pork. Though l do think the Special fried rice quite possibly might be. The Bbq Pork Buns were disgusting, had to send back, the next ones were no better.

A really busy place but I can see why! They're cheap but delicious and have good quality Chinese food.

My daughter loves broccoli. I asked them to add broccoli to my daughters fried rice. I paid extra for the broccoli. Then, after a few minutes the waitress came over and said, actually they can’t do broccoli because the extra money I paid doesn’t cover broccoli. I offered to pay for a full side. The waitress checked with the kitchen, who said no, they won’t add broccoli to fried rice. Full stop, it’s against company policy. I then went to cancel my order because I hate this kind of silliness. The manager came out and said that they don’t do that because they don’t have a computer code (remember, I’d already paid extra). They said that the $2 wasn’t enough to cover the extra broccoli. I said (again) that I was willing to pay extra so my daughter could have some broccoli in her fried rice. They said no, but they would give us a small bit on the rice, but not much. I said fine and they said they would never do it again because their system didn’t accommodate it. I pointed out that they should let people run their restaurant, not computer systems. The manager said that even if they did put it through the till, the kitchen wouldn’t do it. What a bizarre business. There are so many places that offer better food for the same price, and most of them actually want their customers and give a toss about them. For a while we’d eat here at least once a week, but never going to bother again. Goodbye, lost the jackpot.
