Jackpot Dining offers a mixed bag of experiences for its customers. While some visitors found the food to be average at best, with dishes tasting odd and lacking quality, others were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and delicious flavors. The ambience received mixed reviews as well, with some noting a pleasant exterior but lackluster interior decor. The service was considered prompt and efficient, although some customers felt the staff could be stingy and unhelpful at times. Overall, Jackpot Dining seems to cater to those looking for a quick, inexpensive meal, with varying opinions on food quality and service.

Delicious, hot, and flavour intense. Affordable and so easily accessible. Service is slow on busy nights which is fine, but on a regular day your food is to you in a heartbeat. Kudos jackpot! View all feedback.
What EveScotland dislikes about Jackpot:
You place your order at the till. They give you a number. You get your own cutlery and seat yourself at a table. I ordered the beef strips with noodles and portion of steamed vegetables. Quite efficient. Tasted okay. Big portions. Not sure I would go back as there are so many other places nearby. View all feedback.

The hokkien noodles were delicious. Dumpling noodles not bad and the fried chicken wings pretty good (outstanding for the jackpot price of $2). The food comes out fast and the staff are friendly.
Had a quick lunch here because haven’t tried this before. Had the BBQ pork rice and it was reasonable, had better and portions were quite small but at the price of $9 in the CBD it’s hard to complain. It’s a very no frills restaurant like a pub where you would order at the counter and you get your own utensils. Service was fast and efficient
A really busy place but I can see why! They're cheap but delicious and have good quality Chinese food.

The Meals that you order does not match the photo. I doubt that the main meals that you order are freshly cooked. Rather microwaved to reheat. The Bbq Pork was like rubber as was the Sweet snd sour Pork. Though l do think the Special fried rice quite possibly might be. The Bbq Pork Buns were disgusting, had to send back, the next ones were no better.
If you like just green capsicum flavour in your noodles and burn garlic with leftover in your orange wings, then this is the restaurant for you.
My daughter loves broccoli. I asked them to add broccoli to my daughters fried rice. I paid extra for the broccoli. Then, after a few minutes the waitress came over and said, actually they can’t do broccoli because the extra money I paid doesn’t cover broccoli. I offered to pay for a full side. The waitress checked with the kitchen, who said no, they won’t add broccoli to fried rice. Full stop, it’s against company policy. I then went to cancel my order because I hate this kind of silliness. The manager came out and said that they don’t do that because they don’t have a computer code (remember, I’d already paid extra). They said that the $2 wasn’t enough to cover the extra broccoli. I said (again) that I was willing to pay extra so my daughter could have some broccoli in her fried rice. They said no, but they would give us a small bit on the rice, but not much. I said fine and they said they would never do it again because their system didn’t accommodate it. I pointed out that they should let people run their restaurant, not computer systems. The manager said that even if they did put it through the till, the kitchen wouldn’t do it. What a bizarre business. There are so many places that offer better food for the same price, and most of them actually want their customers and give a toss about them. For a while we’d eat here at least once a week, but never going to bother again. Goodbye, lost the jackpot.
I ordered Uber Eats. The food took forever from the bloke on the pushbike who couldn't find me of course, cause they dont look at addresses, they follow that screen of theirs! Aside from that and the dumplings that were cold, the dumplings were very pasty, if thats a word! Not very nice at all. The Kung PO, well, my title explained that. I had to be sure that I hadn't ordered a soup, as it was drowned in an overly sweet juice, the baking soda tenderised chicken was odd, but it just had NONE of the traditional Kung PO attributes anyone who knows what they are eating would expect. Massive disappointment and I would never buy from them again!
The restaurant seems like a fast food joint at an airport, without any redeeming features. I was prepared to ignore that, as the menu board seemed authentically Chinese. Having not had good Sichuan food since I was actually in Sichuan province, I went for the Sichuan green beans and chicken mince. Service was non-existent. The meal was delivered without a single word said to me. The side dish of steamed veges came out first, and was finished well before the actual food arrived about ten minutes later. The meal I ordered looked nothing like that pictured on the menu. The menu was a chicken meal with some beans. The actual meal was 90% beans with perhaps three or four small morsels of chicken. Most importantly, the flavour was not real. Sichuan is known for its pepper, which leaves a wonderful tingle on the tongue. This meal was simply cooked with plain chilli, and while not unpleasant, was not what I had wanted.

We were looking for a cheap meal in the city and stumbled in jackpot. for $11.30, we have a bbq blackbed. while there is no yung kee or yat lok (we go to hk for high quality good duck,) this did the job. would we come back? yes, definitiw.
Burglar for a quick lunch and had the sommee suppe and dim sim. both were remarkable bland and the meat was quite fat. eating is decent cheap, but the complete lack of aroma makes this a pointless place to spend their money.
It was our popular dinner meeting after class or group meetings, beautiful place close to uni and city, and also was a good and quick choice for us after hard work study during our final.
The service was amazing.. so friendly and quick. But that’s where it ends. Food was ok, I’m still slightly nervous the prawns were under cooked. In an area like the CBD you need to have game.. and sadly, I’ll probably just go somewhere else next time. Here there is no game.
