Apt Cape Cod - BREWSTER

Chef Regina has such a unique understanding of food. Just the rosemary bread avocado toast has my GPS tuned to get back there asap.

The hostess and servers are great. They didn’t stop and were very friendly. The food was delicious and quick out of the kitchen. The vegan options are great, my daughter is very happy about those.

We had a lovely breakfast today on the shaded outdoor patio. All of our guests loves their dishes and our server, Laine, was personable and energetic. We own a restaurant down the street and are happy to have this delicious neighbor to be able to go out and enjoy a relaxing hour or so.

Breakfast on our way off the Cape was fantastic! We had a very nice conversation with one of the owners Brandy about the restaurant’s beginnings, surviving Covid and the hopeful future. Highly recommend based on our one breakfast. We will return this fall for dinner.

The ambiance felt reminiscent of a Cape Cod breakfast spot (which it used to be and still offers breakfast and lunch), featuring glass-topped patio furniture without table linens, a view of an abandoned gas station across a busy road, and a neighboring house in the back. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed, and I overheard the manager being rude to them. The final straw was showing up to an otherwise empty restaurant after being told all earlier reservations were booked, only to see the staff stacking chairs and cleaning around us while we dined during the 8:00 PM seating. After experiencing the food, it made me wonder if earlier patrons had left in a hurry. We certainly couldn’t leave fast enough. The team at Apt has potential to create something great, but they seem reluctant to make a genuine effort. Transitioning from a breakfast and lunch spot to a dinner venue demands more than just extended hours. I'm hopeful that one day they'll truly commit to improving their offerings.
