EightyTwenty - Feedback

Was Roland Martel at EightyTwenty a mag?
Came here for lunch yesterday. A very positive buzz and almost full inside and out. Hubby had the Japanese salad bowl with salmon. It was a huge size and looked amazing! He loved it! I ordered the Chermoula lamb but without quinoa. They put in extra greens. This was a surprise. I like the crunch of the Pomegranate and pine nuts on top. Just delicious and Low Carb friendly. I could finish it all so took the left over... View all feedback.
What Darian Lesch dislikes about EightyTwenty:
We tried to come here for breakfast on a Sunday morning as we were staying at a nearby hotel. The place was fairly full but it seemed too difficult to find us a seat inside (even though we had children with us). Outside was about 4 degrees - so not a great option... The menu is trying a bit too hard in my view....so we decided to move on and found a much better spot at the Lonsdale St Roasters Cafe just down the road... View all feedback.

Great location on a corner in Braddon with outdoor seating or indoors by many of the large windows. Range of options, although disappointingly breakfast isn't served all day. I had the Matcha shake which was cleansing, but didn't taste like anything in particular. The Japanese bowl was colourful and had flavour, but wasn't anything memorable. Nevertheless, cannot really fault this place and would return.
Really enjoyable. Came here after passing our first choice to see that there was no customers, always rings bells. Glad to have come across 80/20, remember seeing some reviews. Place was packed and pumping, a good sign. A bit noisy but not in a off putting sort of way. Young floor staff very attentive and on the ball. That was a pleasant surprise, I place a lot on service, great to see young staff so focused and just on top of it all. My wife and I both ordered spiced porridge and coffee and hot chocolate. Coffee was really good and my wife commented how good the chocolate was, and she's not easy to please... The chocolate I'm talking about. The porridge was great, served with almond milk, we're dairy intolerant, great combo of flavours and serving size, kept us going all day. Other meals around us looked good too. Our timing in arriving was good, seen that others arriving after had to wait. Could be frustrating, but the price you pay for popularity. Not a big fan of queing before you order, but let's you check out the treats in the cabinets, and to have a bit of a look at how others are enjoying there time there. A number of groups by the look of it, all seem to be having a good time. Will definitely be first on the list for when we return to Canberra which is fairly regular. Haha, If we can get a seat that is. Pity we don't live there.
Wonderful breakfasts and lunch! Lovely cafe in Braddon. I've been here for lunch and breakfast and each time the food was delicious!

Went here today for breakfast for the first time.Firstly, I didn't realise you had to stand in line and place your order which put me off. Time that could be spent catching up was spent standing in line to order, but the fact that this place was heaving also filled me with anticipation.I wouldn't say this was a relaxing place as it was pumping and people coming and going constantly, but again, I thought this could be for very good reason. And then the coffee arrived. Very nice indeed. And then my Mexican eggs with a side of bacon turned up, surprisingly quickly. Absolutely stunning. Loved this dish. I was let down by the tiniest serve of bacon ever though. 2 tiny little shortcut pieces. Wouldn't have equaled one rasher. Didn't represent the additional amount paid for this side to be added. Overall I was really impressed and wondered why it had taken me so long to eat breakfast here.We all would have loved another coffee but couldn't be bothered standing in line for another 10 minutes. Overall a mixed experience. Fantastic meal, good coffee, tiny side, and I'm not a fan of lining up. Keen to try the rest of the menu though.

So many options for vegans and the Japanese salad was the yummiest thing I've had in a very long time! Highly recommend!
Late lunch in the awesome Canberra sun at a great venue. Always quality food. The breakfast salad and matcha smoothie went down a treat...thanks girls.
I’m obsessed with the crunch açai bowl, definitely the best I have tasted and they cater to my intolerances of GF and DF! Plus they can make good coffee!
Tried 80/20 for brekkie last week and was thoroughly impressed! I had the Sweet Potato and Kale Rosti and it was delicious. Fit out of the shop is great, and I enjoyed some lovely sun through the window, with Angus and Julia Stone playing in the background... what a perfect start to the morning! Great price, excellent food and super friendly/helpful staff I'll definitely be back!!
