I drove an hour just to get BBQ from this restaurant, and it was definitely worth it! I ordered the Family Pack 1 (with ribs) to go so I could enjoy it over a few days. Unfortunately, I overlooked dessert after reading the other reviews, so I'll definitely remember to get that next time. I selected the sides that came with the Family Pack, and the beans and coleslaw were fantastic. The staff was very friendly, and there was a new employee at the register—a young man who was just learning the ropes. He was really charming. I’ll definitely make the drive again someday; the scenery was lovely. Thank you for your hospitality, Sams!

I've visited Sam's BBQ around 10 times and have sampled their ribs, chicken, and brisket, along with nearly all of their sides and rolls. The food is fantastic, the staff is wonderful, and the prices are very reasonable. I definitely plan to return for more of this excellent BBQ and highly recommend Sam's BBQ.

The brisket was a bit dry for my taste — not terrible, but certainly not outstanding. The smoked turkey was just average. The highlight of my meal was the fried okra; it was well-cooked and very enjoyable. The potato salad, however, was rather generic and only came in a small scoop. Overall, the meal was decent, but it’s not a place I’d drive out of my way to revisit.

We are huge fans of Sam's BBQ! We constantly recommend it to our friends and can't stop talking about the brisket, ribs, and mac and cheese! Everything on the menu is fantastic, and we always bring our out-of-town guests here as well. Plus, the new digital sign is an excellent addition!

The ham had a slight hint of smoky flavor, but it was served lukewarm. Our sides of mac and cheese and green beans were also lukewarm and somewhat unappetizing, so we didn’t finish them. On the bright side, the okra was great! I really hate to say this, but the tea was sour, and the restrooms were in need of cleaning—the walls were dirty, and the soap dispenser was broken but still hanging on the wall next to a soap bottle sitting in the sink. It gave off the impression that they might be more focused on attracting bar patrons and happy hour customers rather than families visiting during the day. From what we experienced, it seems like they may be more profitable in the evenings; that’s just my assumption. Unfortunately, we won't be returning for the food. Additionally, the staff serving our meat and sides were not very friendly—they seemed bored and indifferent, which made for a slow-moving line. The only exception was the lady at the cash register, who was quite friendly. However, the saving grace of our visit was the banana pudding! It was fresh—the bananas were only slightly brown, and the wafers were not soggy. So while they have that going for them, it’s still not enough to warrant a special trip back.
