While I understand they may be short-staffed, I believe it is important to at least smile and acknowledge customers when they come in and to wait on them in the order they arrive. When I went to sit down, I noticed there were flies all over the table, so I had to move to a different one. Despite this, no one had still greeted us or said a word. We had to get up and grab our own menus. Instead of attending to us, the staff began serving customers who arrived after us. I suggest that they prioritize taking orders before clearing tables, and simply saying hello and informing customers that they will be attended to shortly. Being short-staffed does not excuse being discourteous to customers. I think I will stick to dining at Mel's in Boyd, as they have never failed to provide good service.

The atmosp... read more So far, my favorite side has to be the handmade onion rings—they're simply amazing! There's something special about dining in a little country diner. The atmosphere is friendly, the service is quick, and the staff is attentive. You can really sense the family-oriented vibe. Places like this are invaluable and always worth a visit!
