Feedback
Guests praise Zizzi - Bournemouth’s food and atmosphere but note inconsistent reservations, occasional slow service and noisy busy nights—excellent dishes despite service bumps.
Managed to get a last minute booking here, the staff are very friendly and there is a good selection of both food and drink of the menu. I found the service to be quick and the food was very tasty.
Your booking never made it to the restaurant! Luckily there was availability. Restaurant less than half full, arrived 7:30, first response 7:45 for drinks. First course 8:30, main meal cold and returned, at least discount given. Waitress was excellent and understanding. The Chef’s are too slow and when pressured make mistakes. Needs work, hate to think what it would of been like if it was full.
Great food at Zizzi’s as always. Service can be a bit slow sometimes but we expect that during really busy times. Always good though.
I am not a very big fan of Italian food, however gave it a try, Chicken, Prawns were upto the mark to increase your appetite. I also ended up eating a Pasta. Lovely food lovely staff Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Came quite late one evening as we were in the area driving home, seated by I believe a manager, who later didn’t really pay us much attention as they were standing by the tills ‘cashing up’. After trying to flag down a couple of other servers we finally got our food, wife’s ragu pasta needed replacing as it wasn’t hot enough as it had sat on the side to be brought to the table for too long.. garlic bombe was delicious and hot, toward the end of us being there a waitress called Lauren ? I think that’s her name, she was blondeish and cleaning the cups/glasses behind the bar, she came over and really gave us her all. So it’s been a mixed visit really. Didn’t start too good but was saved a little by someone else. Would come back, probably not an hour before closing and I’d probably make sure we dress up rather than coming in our work clothes so we fit in a little more Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Despite occasional service hiccups, repeat diners often return specifically for particular standouts — garlic‑rich starters and seafood plates get frequent praise — and individual team members have a reputation for turning a rough evening into a memorable one. If you want a smoother visit, aim for earlier evening slots rather than arriving right before closing.
