Was Anonym at Tiffins a mag?
I have been coming to Tiffins since they opened, and they consistently serve the most delicious meals I could ask for. I always order the herbal masala and saag, both made with coconuts instead of cream (an extra charge and about 10 minutes of prep). This place offers such a flavorful experience in the city. What Anonym dislikes about Tiffins:
I usually don’t mind a busy place, and since I only visited once, take my opinion with a grain of salt. However, the classic coconut sauce with the dosa was overly salty and inconsistent, and the dosa arrived cold at the table. I love South Indian food, but in this neighborhood, I’d rather go to Kathmandu II instead. View all feedback.
We visited colorado from ny and die for a good eating! this place was so good that we came back the next day! we were both there for lunch and had the specialties of lunchtime. they had a choice of 1.2 or 3 curries with rice. we all have 3 and it was only $7.95 the portions were very generous and my 10
For lunch, they serve a thali with homestyle entrees, where you can choose one, two, or three options, all accompanied by rice. You can also add whole-wheat roti (note that the naan is not vegan). Be sure to ask which dishes are vegan—there are usually about four to five options. Many items on the menu are vegan or can be made vegan upon request, including the korma and masala. This restaurant is one of the few places nearby where you can enjoy dosa and idli, both of which are excellent and vegan. Their sambar is also fantastic! The biryani is delicious too, but beware—one order is enough to feed a family of four! You can request adjustments to the spice level for any dish. I always feel good about dining here because the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating to vegans (and even Jains). As others have mentioned, the atmosphere is very casual. They don’t serve beer or wine, but you’re welcome to bring your own bottle of wine, and they will provide glasses for you to enjoy it on the premises! I visited this restaurant with some colleagues and found a few vegan options on the menu. Unfortunately, they were quite greasy and didn’t leave a lasting impression.
Ordered take out from this place. Idli was so pathetic, entirely hard like a stone. They didn’t serve it with any chutney instead gave me raita. Biryani was entirely cold equally bad. Save your money and dont money order from here!
