I used to enjoy this place, but my recent experience was disappointing. We ordered momos, but no one informed us that the momo achar (sauce) was unavailable. They took our order and simply served us a plate of momos. When we asked for the achar, they said they were out of it. Upon requesting an alternative, they gave us chili powder mixed with water, which was spicy but bland and lacked salt. I feel really let down by their lack of honesty.
I had a delicious lunch special and a hot chai at Tibet Kitchen. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
Wow, the Momos at this restaurant are incredible! We ordered take-out yesterday, and it was absolutely delicious. We lived in an area of China with a significant Tibetan community for a year, and these Momos tasted just like the ones we used to enjoy there. It was a wonderful experience to share a taste of a culture we love with our kids here in the States, even years later. We can't wait to return and dine in next time, and explore more dishes from their menu. We also tried the pulled noodle soup, which was flavorful and a perfect treat for a lovely fall day.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem, offering an authentic atmosphere. While you shouldn’t expect extravagant decor or table settings, the delicious food and affordable prices more than make up for it. The only drawback is that the dishes tend to be a bit oily. However, aside from that, I highly recommend checking this place out – you won’t be disappointed!
