Description
Nestled on Arapahoe in Boulder, Bru pairs thoughtful, wood-fired pizzas and bold small-plate cooking with a rotating lineup of craft microbrews. Standouts include the Bru Pizza, flavorful wings, BRU-TINE poutine and seafood dishes; beer flights and generous happy-hour deals keep it lively without the Pearl Street crowds. The front patio and relaxed, community-focused vibe make it ideal for date nights, post-climb refuels or casual meetups. Service is friendly, taps sometimes sell out, and the menu leans compact but high-quality.

Man, this place is a hidden gem. My wife and I ate here on a whim and we are glad we did. The beer flight was good. We chose our favorite beers after trying the flight. The food was really good and full of flavor. I highly recommend the corn fritters and the calamari. Our favorite beers were the 5290 and the Nitro Irish Stout. We will be back.
Good food. Tasty beers. Wood fired oven. Went during the week for lunch and there were only a few people there. Had the Bahn Mi sandwich and Nitro Irish Stout. Both were delicious! Will definitely go back to try more beers and food.
Their brick oven pizza and chicken wings paired wonderfully with one of their flavorful microbrews. I was a bit disappointed to find that the Nitro India Brown Ale was unavailable, as the keg had just run out. However, I thoroughly enjoyed two glasses of their Parc Mosaic American Pale Ale. My friends and I decided to try the Bru Pizza, a menu staple, and it did not disappoint. It had a delightful mix of sweet and savory flavors, enhanced by its light, thick crust. The chile-soy glazed wings were incredibly tasty, and I'm pretty sure I could have devoured a whole order by myself. Next time I visit, I know the wings will be a must-order, but I also want to explore other pizza options on the menu. Overall, Bru is a fantastic choice for casual dining, whether you're planning a date night, a get-together with friends, or a relaxing happy hour with coworkers in Boulder. It was refreshing to escape the crowded happy hour spots on Pearl St and Walnut St and instead enjoy this hidden gem on Arapahoe. I highly recommend Bru and can't wait to return soon!
Although the menu was small, everything looked appealing. We ordered the Bru Pizza, topped with sausage, onions, and aged cheddar, and it was absolutely delicious! It was cooked in a wood-fired oven, which added to its flavor. Our server, Jaime, was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely return for more beer and food. Cheers!
I stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch while leaving Boulder and discovered they have an all-day happy hour on Tuesdays, which is always a nice surprise. The beer sampler was decent; nothing was bad, but only one stood out as particularly impressive - a hoppy ale, which I ended up ordering again in a smaller size. However, the food truly shines here. I tried the charred cauliflower with curry sauce and the Brussels sprouts, both of which were fantastic. Don’t skip the $1 charge for the house-made sourdough bread; it was outstanding. The atmosphere is relaxed, although I found it a bit odd that someone was playing video games on the TV at the end of the bar. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return to sample more food items if I'm back in Boulder, but I won't feel the need to try the beer again.
