I ordered the special , an 18oz Niman Ranch Ribeye. I also ordered a bearnaise to go alongside. The bearnaise was okay, not by any means the best I 've ever had, it was a bit bland. I ordered my steak rare. When the steak came out it was far overcooked (well done). I asked the server for a new steak that was cooked to the proper temperature they obliged although they were clearly unhappy. When the second one came out it was still overcooked but less so (medium at best). I ate it anyway because at this point the rest of my dinner companions were at least halfway through their food. The only saving grace to this meal was that I ordered the pistachio cheesecake and it was delicious. Probably will not be eating here again. For a $70 to $80 steak it was marginally better than something that you would get at a Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse. My total bill was over $100 and I left thoroughly dissatisfied.
Had a superb evening with a table by the fireplace served superbly by Lauren Started with a delicious old fashion filled by their famous prime rib. Finished dinner with a lovely carrot cake for a farewell dinner with my brother before returning to Tucson A Boulder classic that I have enjoyed for twenty years. A must when visiting Boulder.
