The bread and pastries certainly met my expectations, but my favorite was definitely the cheese and caramelized onion toastie—absolutely amazing! I also loved the fennel and raisin sourdough, which I had toasted and generously spread with Pepe Saya butter and nectarine jam. I even took a loaf of that sourdough home with me! The service was both friendly and efficient, and the coffee was quite good as well. There's also outdoor seating next to the store for those who wish to dine in.

This restaurant offers uniquely flavored pastries that are hard to find anywhere else. I tried their tahini scroll and almond pastry, both of which were incredibly fresh, buttery, and crisp on the outside, yet so moist and soft on the inside. I was truly amazed with the first bite and could easily eat a million more! One small drawback is that they could use a bit more filling in their pastries to enhance the flavor and sweetness. I will definitely be returning to try all their other pastries and bread loaves. There’s nothing like it in Sydney. You absolutely must give it a try!

An essential drop if you’re in Bermie, or simply travelling. The sourdough is tasty and with a crunchy crust. We had two pastries: a tebirkes a scroll with egg custard. Both are flakey, crazy with sumptuous taste and just what you need with your hot chocolate.

Dec-21: tried the tiberkes (Danish poppy seed answer to the French almond croissant) and the tahini scroll. Both too notch, staying in Tathra at the moment and considering a detour back to Bermagui for the tiberkes, it's awesome. Dec-20: The best bakery in Australia and probably top decile in the world. The country loaf was so good we sourced them from the IGA in Narooma (where we were staying that night) so we could take away on our trip back to Sydney. Unbelievable croissants. Honorbread is the best thing about Bermagui.

Without a doubt, this is the best bakery on the South Coast. Everything they offer is absolutely delicious, and the coffee is fantastic as well. Just make sure to check their opening days and hours before you visit.
