What User doesn't like about Bermagui Beach:
amazing location with views over the sea to gulaga. service was friendly. roast was generous, with plenty of meat (lamb) and sweet. newly renovated, all for a good rewarding visit. View all feedback.
We arrived at the restaurant after 1:30 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon and were pleased to find that they were still serving lunch. We enjoyed a delicious meal of cocktails and locally caught marlin while sitting on the veranda in the beautiful sunshine.
Quite bad food. Neither my partner nor I finished our food. The mussels were gritty, the prawns chewy and the calamari like rubber bands. Do not bother. There are much better places in Bermagui.
The seafood platter for two was really good and there are a lot of good menu choices, great wine selection and happy efficient staff. Being the beginning of winter they were not really busy but still a nice vibe.
The Bermagui Beach restaurant has been in operation for a hundred years under various names. The dining area is now known as The Bistro, offering a seafood Italian menu. The desserts are homemade and vary regularly. The atmosphere can be bustling in summer and very quiet in winter. Highly recommended.
The restaurant serves a meal then closes the bar. This seems to be a common trend, and this pub follows suit. I don't understand why this practice is becoming more common. It's inconvenient to have to walk for drinks during or after a meal, especially when the food is not worth the high prices.
