This is our go-to bar in town. The outdoor patio is great for relaxing, and they have a great variety of drinks. Taco Tuesday is a highlight. The food is delicious and the wait time is usually minimal.
I was not a fan of the cocktail I ordered at this restaurant, but if you're looking for basic drinks or beer, it's a great, vibrant place. It's popular with college students, especially being located near UC Berkeley. I appreciate the cozy indoor fireplace and ample outdoor seating options.
I visited this restaurant on Taco Tuesday. They had $6 margaritas and the prices for tacos were reduced to $2.50 from the usual $4. The "birria tacos" with consomé tasted like boiled potato water, so I would not recommend them. The asada tacos were average, a bit dry. However, the atmosphere and drinks were more important to me. I didn't enjoy my margarita, but my friend's pink paloma was good. I would recommend trying it for a typical Berkeley undergraduate experience with sentimental value.
