The cheese was impeccably melted, almost as if it were broiled at the end—wonderful, with no runniness or stringiness. The Roma tomatoes and toppings all complemented each other beautifully, and the homemade pesto really tied everything together. This is hands down the BEST slice of classic Italian-style pizza I’ve had in Berkeley.

The... read more Despite the overwhelming libertarian slogans that cover nearly every surface, this is one of the top pizza spots in Berkeley and deserves more recognition. The thin crust is incredibly authentic and delicious. Be sure to try their daily specials – you won’t regret ordering a whole pizza! The patrons are always intriguing and fun to chat with. The main downside is having to endure the uncultured crowd as they inexplicably flood into the subway across the food court while you wait for your pizza in a usually quiet space.

The restaurant truly shines with its array of toppings and wonderfully crispy crusts. However, the real standout is the sandwiches. With ingredients like goat cheese, fresh salad leaves, cold cured meats, and artichokes, these sandwiches far surpass the limited offerings from the Subway next door. Anyone who appreciates good food should definitely give them a try.

This was, without a doubt, the best slice of classic Italian pizza I've had in Berkeley.
