Let’s talk ab... read more I don’t want to leave this review because this place is already so difficult to get in. But man oh man. Kiraku is my favorite Bay Area restaurant. Let’s talk about why. For starters it feels like Japan, it’s small quaint and relatively simple in decor. And just like Japan they take the utmost pride in what they bring to you. The ingredients are always super fresh, the skewers are all full of flavor, the Uni spoon is the perfect mixture of richness from the Uni and Umami of the salmon roe. They have a corn fritter on the menu and it’s just wow. It is perfectly fried and hit with a precise amount of sea salt. Corn is always tasty but it shouldn’t be this good. The staff here are as perfect as you could ask for. Did I mention they have a sweet potato brûlée for dessert that will have you drooling. Go here. Put your name on the list walk to the nearest bar, grab some libations and get ready to be transported to Japan in the most delicious way imaginable. Thank you Kiraku!!!

The appetizers were especially outstanding; I found myself wishing I could order and try even more from their diverse selection. The fish for the sashimi and nigiri was fatty and fresh—absolutely no complaints there!
