We were seated near the kitchen, where we could see the food bei... read more I recently visited the Nando's location in Thurrock and was very disappointed with the service. We were seated near the kitchen, where we could see the food being handled. The manager, dressed in jeans and a pink shirt, was assisting the kitchen staff. However, I was shocked to see her sticking her fingers into the mash potato to check its temperature before putting it on a plate. She then used her hands to push back her hair and wipe her sweat, before touching the broccoli and placing it on a plate. This unsanitary behavior resulted in my burger being served upside down and mishandled before reaching me. The salad was also sloppily thrown onto the plate by one of the staff members. I raised my concerns with the server and asked him to convey them to the manager. It was clear that the staff were aware of the situation but offered no apologies. The lack of professionalism and hygiene was disgraceful, and it felt like they were not taking the issue seriously. I am considering sharing the video of this experience online to bring attention to the issue.

Our meals were col... read more My wine was rancid/fizzy and tasted of chemicals. I had another and it tasted the same, so it was obviously a problem with the batch/storage. Our meals were cold/disappointing in comparison to normal high standards. The fizzy drinks were flat. Things were missing from my husbands meal and we all felt unwell after. I wrote a complaint to head office who said they would look into it, but I never heard back. Would never return to this branch, but love Nando’s in general.
