Unfortunately, we never received ou... read more The main course was delicious and arrived promptly, but we had to clear the table ourselves and left the cutlery on the bar. Unfortunately, we never received our desserts even after asking the barmaid multiple times. We were told that she had forgotten to place the order. Disappointed, we left the pub without our desserts or a refund. It's a shame because the food is always good, but the service is lacking due to the absence of a waitress.

My son loves a burger and he's a bit of an expert. Handmade burgers with just the right sauces and dressing. Perfection!

Unfortunately the Sunday roast we had was disappointing, only option was to have it in a giant Yorkshire pudding, half of that was mashed potato …no roast potatoes which is criminal for a traditional roast! Tiny bit of vegetables that may of came from a steam packet. Why not team up with a local produce supplier and support one another? Won’t be returning sadly due to poor food quality from kitchen, and I must admit the decor in the pub area is much nicer than main restaurant which looks out of place with the gold effect paint everywhere and chintzy lighting doesn’t flow. Waiting staff were lovely, that’s about all sorry!

We have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now, often visiting during the week to try items from their diverse menu, but our favorite tradition was... read more We have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now, often visiting during the week to try items from their diverse menu, but our favorite tradition was coming on Sundays for their delicious roast dinner, which we found to be great value. However, during our recent visit, we were disappointed to learn that the Sunday menu no longer offered a choice of roast dinner. A staff member explained that it was the summer menu, but we were surprised as the roast dinners had always been available. Although the price had gone up, we would have been willing to pay extra for a full roast. We have visited many restaurants in the area and have always considered this place to be one of the best, almost as good as a home-cooked meal.
