I have been in BASEL at the watch fair every year, for the last 3 years we made a reservation, and the friendly Italian Guy every year told us that we didn't ca... read more I have been in BASEL at the watch fair every year, for the last 3 years we made a reservation, and the friendly Italian Guy every year told us that we didn't call, so when we came for dinner we had no table. So, my suggestion would be to go there and try to get something in writting from the employees to guarantee a dinner. If and when you get a table, the food is good.

The service was very good and the waiters tried to cover everything on time. Great choice if you want to eat after a difficult day something nice in a clean environment

Staff are Italian , friendly. Tables are far enough one from another. We walked in Friday evening between 9 and 10 and restaurant was not too busy. It is big enough for smaller parties. We had pizza which was great, thin crust and tasty, minestrone soup, fresh loaded with vegetables, portion of chips, big enough, good to share , chips are thin ones, like in fast food and very salty. Salad was fresh with chicken and ham . Price was mid range. They have a big TV in and serve pizza and beer, so you could easly get cought up in loud enviroment if there is a match on.

Finally got seated 15 mins late staff very unfriendly didn't reset table properly. Was left with no side plate or glass. We were a party of 10. Ordered a mix of starters which were dumped on the table . Main of steak was good but not sure I would bother going again as very over priced for what we had . 10 people no desserts 2 bottles of wine and over a 1000 Swiss francs. Think they use the fair to over book over crowd and over charge people

I had the Rosetta (I usuall... read more My husband and I enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner at Roma. It was in the vicinity of the Swissotel, so we could easily walk there. I had the Rosetta (I usually know this as rollitini in the US)and it was fabulous...tasty, perfectly rolled fresh pasta with a delicious cheese sauce. Service was pleasant and the atmosphere was one of a cozy neighborhood cafe. We enjoyed our meal and we’re glad we visited Roma!
