I could not recommend this restaurant to anybody, unless they were about to starve to death. Prices were also pretty average by Swiss Basel standards...

The menu was ver... read more We ate here near the Rhine one evening recently. We sat outside on the almost full terrasse with the locals. The beer was served fast and cold. The menu was very extensive but we chose from the board. The Sommer Fitnessteller (Summer Fitness plates) are to be recommended. We ordered one Cordonbleu with mushrooms and Raclette cheese filling, vegetables and pomme frites; one Fitness teller with Roast Beef andf a huge saald with Tartar sauce in a pot on the side. Four beers, 2 main courses with salad/vegetables and and all the trimmings cost less than Fr70:00, which is good for Basel. In conclusion, the service was fast, friendly and the food served fast and nicely prepared.
