First visit, first impression and last time when we come here. We encountered a very serious attitude problem. One women from the personal of the restaurant(Evalina we think) was very rude with our 8 years son. After my son tooked twoo glasses of juise, also one for his syster, she started to argue with him and told him he must payed if he wants extra juise. She has interrupt our meal for good. This behavior is not normal, professional and ethical in relation with a 8 years child. First of all, we didn't knew that for 2 children we can't have more than 2 glasses of juise. Anyway this lady should spoke with us first , as parents, not argue with a child. From that moment my boy was very imppressed and he couldn't eat anymore... same with all of us. We returned the third glass of juise anyway... because she insisted in a very inpolite way many times that we have to pay... 2.4Chf... For sure we will make a petition to the cantonal administration. I request officcially to this restaurant administration to take measures against this type of rude, inpolite, without good sense and poor behavior!

Ultimately we decided on bowl, raspberry fig and chestnut cake with orange juice, Rivelli and finally coffee. Everything was delicious! Employees are very nice. On the terrace you can enjoy the view over Basel. We'd love to come back.

Switzerland is expensive and tourists must be prepared, but Manora is a very good option for food at more afordable cost. I found all food to be of good quality and nicely presented. It is cafeteria style, so dont expect table service.
