Beautiful atmospher... read more What a nice surprise this restaurant on the river side in Lange Erlen Park. We stopped after a late afternoon walk and decided to eat there. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious beef grilled meat with potato salad. Back to the darkness...was also amazing, beautiful warm summer night in Basel.

An ideal stop for lunch or dinner (or some afternoon drinks) while running, cycling or just in the forest along the meadow. Beautiful atmosphere, very relaxed, good quality of typical Swiss meals (sausagen, rusti, potatoes, but also salads and homemade cakes). Only a few local beers and coffee/tea. It is worth spending some relaxing time on fresh air, alone, in couples or with friends. During the summer time is great to be out. I think for the winter they have a dining room

You need to sit outside even if... read more Amazing experience, a restaurant in the woods, by the flowing river, in a clear starry night with all the warming fires outside. You need to sit outside even if it's a bit chilly, you need to taste the Metzgete choice of sausages, you need to try their amazing Ueli Swiss beer and you need to be handled by the very friendly and lovely staff as the king of the night. I repeat that this restaurant offers an amazing customer experience and that not only because of the food. One tip. You cannot drive over there with the car as it is truly in the woods and not allowed. Need either a bike ride or a 15 min walk from the nearest parking place in Eglise
