We arrived for dinner at 4:15, not 4:45 as scheduled. When we realized something was missing, we called and they promised to send it over. However, it didn't arrive until around 5:15. By that time, the dinner was not hot and had to be microwaved.
Beware of this restaurant's lack of customer service. We paid for a meal only to discover 45 minutes later that our order had not been sent to the kitchen. The bartender refunded our money, but this experience caused us to lose a group of 7 customers who had planned to stay for cocktails and more drinks. We have been regular customers at this restaurant for a while and we are extremely disappointed.
Had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! The prosecco tea was delicious and our waiter, Shaun, was fabulous. Thank you so much!
Yesterday at around 3:50pm myself and 14 members of my family had just came from a family members funeral/wake. We rang at half 2 and asked for a table at 3:30 but due to taxis we were delayed, only slightly. When we arrived there was just two tables of two people in the whole of the restaurant. We ordered our drinks and started looking through the menus for our meals, we were generally talking and trying to make light of a bad situation. Our drinks started arriving and we made a toast to James as the guy came to take our meal orders, to my disgust he informed me we were being too loud and told to keep it down as he had other tables in and we should be mindful of that- it 's was a Saturday afternoon and at no point were we being rowdy. I questioned why he was being that way when we were the only table in the place at that time as that group of two had just been finishing their meals and left. He started to head towards the bar and I was told about what he had said and I said we would pay for our drinks and leave as he was shaking his head as he was walking to the bar. I proceeded to say I could understand if the restaurant was packed out and they were getting complaints but at no stage was anyone abusive threatening or intimidating to him and at this stage he became very obnoxious and said if we didn 't keep it down we could leave-At this stage I felt it very appropriate to notify him that we intended to settle for the drinks and go somewhere else and to cancel our food order and go to The Tullie Inn and his reply was that 's your prerogative pal I found his attitude very strange considering it 's supposed to be a family friendly establishment and in a few hours there would be a dj on and plenty noise- and in honesty it was the quietest I 've seen it on a Saturday afternoon in ages, We settled the drinks bill at £47.75 and proceeded to go to The Tullie Inn and spend £340 there. we had great food, drinks and at no point did we feel uncomfortable in the tulli inn either. I WAS a regular at raffels either with my friends, family or kids I can now say I won 't be back.
