Yesterday at around 3:50pm myself and 14 members of my family had just came from a family members funeral/wake. We rang at half 2 and asked for a table at 3:30 but due to taxis we were delayed, only slightly. When we arrived there was just two tables of two people in the whole of the restaurant. We ordered our drinks and started looking through the menus for our meals, we were generally talking and trying to make light of a bad situation. Our drinks started arriving and we made a toast to James as the guy came to take our meal orders, to my disgust he informed me we were being too loud and told to keep it down as he had other tables in and we should be mindful of that- it 's was a Saturday afternoon and at no point were we being rowdy. I questioned why he was being that way when we were the only table in the place at that time as that group of two had just been finishing their meals and left. He started to head towards the bar and I was told about what he had said and I said we would pay for our drinks and leave as he was shaking his head as he was walking to the bar. I proceeded to say I could understand if the restaurant was packed out and they were getting complaints but at no stage was anyone abusive threatening or intimidating to him and at this stage he became very obnoxious and said if we didn 't keep it down we could leave-At this stage I felt it very appropriate to notify him that we intended to settle for the drinks and go somewhere else and to cancel our food order and go to The Tullie Inn and his reply was that 's your prerogative pal I found his attitude very strange considering it 's supposed to be a family friendly establishment and in a few hours there would be a dj on and plenty noise- and in honesty it was the quietest I 've seen it on a Saturday afternoon in ages, We settled the drinks bill at £47.75 and proceeded to go to The Tullie Inn and spend £340 there. we had great food, drinks and at no point did we feel uncomfortable in the tulli inn either. I WAS a regular at raffels either with my friends, family or kids I can now say I won 't be back.

Just had a delicious meal with my family! The combo starter between the four of us was plenty and it was meant for two. I had steak pie along with my daughter which was lovely, and the veg was cooked to perfection too. My husband had chicken enchilada which he was very impressed with. My son had macaroni and cheese with garlic bread which was demolished! Great service from friendly staff that couldn't do more for you! Keep up the good work

My son came here tonight to celebrate his 18th Birthday and one of your bouncers took his ID of him saying not to nicely that it was fake!!! He threatened him and said he would get him lifted by the police, my son didn 't get any chance to explain himself. I can assure you it is legal ID and I will be down tomorrow to get it back, as you don 't seem to answer your phones, and if I don 't get it returned then I will be involving the police. My sons name is Allister Donaldson it 's on his ID so please keep it safe as it belongs to him!!!
