We spent a night at the Lomond Park Hotel at Balloch.When we arrived they had no note of our booking! We had to take the only room available a twin with no en suite!The small print on The voucher said that there was a Karaoke/DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. What it did not say was that there was also Karaoke on Sunday night. We discovered this when we arrived. It started at 9.30 pm and went on till midnight. My husband and I can put up with a lot we had three teenagers but this was so loud it was physically painful. Had the weather been better we would have left and gone home. The continental breakfast also left a lot to be desired with a small choice of cereal, one type of fruit juice and toast. No fresh fruit, croissants or even rolls. We didn't enquire about the cooked one as it wasn't served till after 10am but I wasn't optimistic as I'm vegetarian.Our voucher included a 2 course dinner and of course the menu had the usual vegetarian option macaroni cheese! (which my husband had and thoroughly enjoyed) or a vegetarian burger on a roll with chips and salad. The salad consisted of a lettuce leaf and slice of tomato on the roll with the burger! It was ok. The starters were very nice. Our voucher also included a cocktail jug and we were offered other drinks instead which suited us better as I don't drink and my husband doesn't enjoy cocktails.The decor was decidedly dated and in need of upgrading!

When the plates got taken away I said to the waitress that my friend did not enjoy her meal and she asked my friend what was wrong with it and my friend said was rubbery and waitress never said anything and took it away. When it came to paying the bill I asked if it was taken off the bill and was told because we never told her during the meal that she couldnt do nothing about it. She came and asked one member of our group if everything was okay so didn't get a chance to tell her what was wrong. When it came to pay we asked to split the bill between us and she gave us a dirty look before reluctantly going to split it for us.We have been here several times in the past and have never felt so unwelcome.

Great night n drinks cheap... read more Got a xmas gift through groupon so had a two course with purple storm cocktail food was amazing. Then went into the bar for karaoke. Great night n drinks cheap then moved into nightclub. Amazing night will defo be back. Had breakfast in the morning too. Been telling everyone about this hotel. Only reason I didn't give full 5 stars is that the shower only had cold water coming out it so couldn't have a hot shower, and there was no1 about in the morning to tell.

I’m the type of person that will eat anything really the opposite of fussy but for the life of me have no idea why this place is open the chef literally vollys... read more I’m the type of person that will eat anything really the opposite of fussy but for the life of me have no idea why this place is open the chef literally vollys the food into the microwave and flings it on you’re plate edible or not and walks away, this place makes McDonalds look like a 5star restaurant so if you’ve ever thinking of coming here save yourself money and heartbreak and go get yourself a Big Mac instead
