I had a great experience at this restaurant - the space was lovely and the staff were friendly. I really enjoyed my lunch, and there was a generous portion size. They also have delicious baked goods that you can take away. I will definitely return in the future. View all feedback.
Last week, my wife and I went to a cafe where we enjoyed delicious vegetarian dishes. The menu had a great variety and the chef was willing to accommodate vegan requests (within reason). The staff was friendly and attentive. We even met a local and had a wonderful time catching up on old stories. Highly recommend this place.
Ate here three times in one week recently, and have eaten here in previous years. Food is always lovely. The young lady at the counter (perhaps fairly new and a bit unsure? needs a little more guidance and could learn from the more mature members of staff regarding general communication, eye contact, a smile etc., but she did consult for answers. Having been on a gluten free diet earlier in the year, it was really good to see GF food on offer, so fine for coeliacs. The actual building (Gaelic college is lovely, bright and airy with interesting displays on the walls. Its only fault is that it’s not open on a Saturday and it closes at 3.30pm during the week.
This is a marvellous place to meet and greet people you’ve not seen for some time. The food and service are fantastic.
Afternoon teas were brilliant; a place not to be missed. Scones were the best I have ever tasted and the puddings a dream !!
Went for lunch while on holiday lovely friendly staff. Had lovely homemade soup and a panini folloed by a cake. The soup was lovely, hot and full of flavour and panini was well filled. The carrot cake so good and also tasted my companions pavlova, cakes to die for. Well worth a visit you cant possibly visit Islay and not go.
