Diners praise the warm welcome and attentive staff, especially during breakfast, where the expertly sliced toast and hearty meals set the tone for the day. While many dishes shine, such as the mussels and steak pie, inconsistency has been noted; some meals, like the apple pie and chicken tikka, fell short of expectations. With a vibrant atmosphere and a lovely sea view, this café remains a beloved local option, despite occasional culinary missteps.
Visited Port Mor for a lovely full cooked breakfast. In particular, the toast was excellently sliced into perfect triangles and was the perfect level of toastedness. The waiting staff were very friendly and made it clear to us the high standards of food at this establishment We returned for coffee later on and the staff were very sympathetic of our bus troubles
We visited this restaurant twice during our stay. The first time, the food was exceptional. However, the second time, the food was just okay. The apple pie, which was microwaved, was dense, and the chicken burgers were overcooked and slightly tough. Despite this, the service was outstanding on both occasions.
Just out for a drive and stopped off for a spot of lunch. Ordered a chicken mayonnaise bloomer with salad and crisps at what I thought was a reasonable price of £5 until the plate arrived. 2 slices of white bread with chicken mayo and crisps.. This was not what I was expecting, a bloomer is thick country style loaf with a lovely crust not two slices of cheap white. Dissapointment personified!!
Foods great, and good value, views out are great and staff are excellent. We went twice in two days, and I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area
