I left a tip for the young waitresses, who seemed surprised by it. Does no one tip for good service anymore? I would definitely recommend the Islay Hotel if you are in the area.

The room was great and this was a wonderful p... read more We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed breakfast and dinner several times. Excellent local food and kind service. The room was great and this was a wonderful place to stay to see the many whisky distilleries. Close to walking trails and a wonderful little beach in Port Ellen across the street from the hotel. We will be back.
