We would have drives past without a second look but all the cars parked out the front seemed a good omen. We were not disappointed. Great coffee. Relaxed feel and excellent food. Best on the coast so far. View all feedback.
What SGR C doesn't like about Maids Pantry:
I thought my food was going to come wrapped in gold, it was so expensive. $24.50 for a cup of take away pumpkin soup( with a slice of bread) and a beef burrito. Neither of the choices were exceptional. Don't stop off unless you like throwing away money. View all feedback.
Busy, friendly cafeOrdered a flat white that was served up as a latte in a mug (waaaay too much froth).
As a visiting 'local' of 30 years, I've watched owners of the old 'Maid Marion's' (now the Maid's Pantry) come and go.
The pies here are sensational! The other bakeries in Anglesea are very disappointing (very) but the pies here are by far the best and very delicious!!! Staff are lovely also

Just to make it clear- you haven't lived life until you have breakfast here. The menu has a vast range of locally made products coupled with a choice of cuisines from abroad, including Indonesian Eggs- A REAL MUST TRY and having other choices from Africa and France and England included. The friendly staff are happy to guide you and take your order. The cafe is also a general store with local and gourmet ingredients, cheeses, breads and local ice creams etc. We decided a return trip was in order as there was another dish we wanted to try so we did that today. We had the Afghani eggs and they were also quite delicious with spiced lentils, eggs and crispy Roti bread. The coffee is Allpress and made well. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The courtyard and gardens are lovely and rustic with a kitchen garden and undercover area. Very happy campers here. Will seriously consider driving from Melbourne to get my brunch here.
