Definitely worth every calorie! The food was delicious! I tried the lemon cupcake recommended by the staff at the counter, and it was amazing! My husband had the hot fudge, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The prices were comparable to other bakeries, but the cupcakes were larger and tasted even better!

I absolutely love these cupcakes! I make it a point to stop by for one every time I'm in town, and I've never been disappointed.

I visited the Algonquin location three times on weekends at different times, and each visit they were out of gluten-free options. The staff explained that they no longer regularly offer them. On my last visit, I was told, "We're making a batch, and they sell out quickly." This made me wonder: if they’re always selling out, why don’t they make more batches?

I ordered a red velvet cupcake because I believed so long that it was so delicious! my expectation was very fluffy moist on the inside, no dryness at all!

Red velvet and salted carmel...what a 2 scoop combo! YummmmmmCupcakes, mixed for a wedding ...cant wait

Smallcakes has made a name for itself with its delicious, generously-sized cupcakes, featuring moist cakes and delightful flavors that perfectly balance sweetness. Many patrons rave about the quality, particularly the lemon and hot fudge options, as well as the beautiful presentations. However, some logistical issues, such as limited gluten-free selections and cake mishaps, have marred a few experiences. Recent management changes have led to improved customer interactions, with a focus on addressing complaints effectively. Overall, Smallcakes remains a beloved spot, ideal for special occasions, promising delicious treats and attentive service that keep customers coming back for more.

It pains me to write this review because we LOVE their cupcakes and have NEVER had an issue. Owners and workers essentially know us and know our go to cupcakes because we frequently stop in for cupcakes. My amazing wife and kids went in to order a surprisebirthday cake for me which was to be ready for pickup between 11am and noon on the morning of my birthday (1/26). My wifearrived shortly before noon and was told they just finished frosting it and to put it in the fridge immediately when gettinghome. When she got home the cake was ruined. My wife called but due to work schedule my wife was not able to go back to try andresolve the issue so after the surprise had already been ruined I offered to go back to handle the situation. Immediately uponseeing me the owners/workers apologized (as they recognized me as they always do) and upon seeing the cake they immediately saidit was not fixable (which my wife and i knew to be the case). They offered a refund which I was happy about and I said insteadof another cake i will just buy a few cupcakes. However, the refund and an apology was essentially the only resolution eventhough they were fully aware that this was now a ruined surprise that my kids wanted to get me that said happy BirthdayDad . On one hand you may think, we got a refund so no harm done but i disagree. If a customer orders a cake and it isscheduled to be picked up between a 1 hour span the cake should be ready for the customer to be taken home at that time. Thecake should NOT be finished up in the latter half of the pickup hour. The cake was CLEARLY still too warm and should not havebeen given to any customer like that. In this situation I feel an apology, refund, and at least one or two free cupcakes (whenI asked to buy 6 cupcakes after the cake they gave us) as a good faith offer would have been the minimum proper solution.Instead they simply gave me the 6 cupcakes I paid for on cardboard and wrote Happy Birthday Dad in frosting on the

Last three times I?ve stopped at the Algonquin location on the weekend, different times, either day they are ?out? of gluten free. Not sure staff makes them anymore. Last visit I was told ?we make one batch and they sell out quickly.? Which begs thequestion, have you ever considered more batches since people keep buying them all?

My step dad did some electrical work for this place. We got cupcakes in return. Frosting is not too sweet and just right. Cupcakes were very moist and not dry. I will be back to get more. ????

My wife arrived just before noon and was told the cake had only just been finished and placed in the fridge. Unfortunately, when she got it home, the cake was ruined. She called the bakery, but due to work commitments, she couldn’t go back to resolve the issue. After the surprise was already spoiled, I decided to return myself. When I arrived, the owners and staff immediately recognized me and apologized, confirming our concerns about the cake’s condition. They offered a refund, which I appreciated, but instead of ordering another cake, I chose to purchase some cupcakes instead. However, aside from the refund and apology, there was little offered, despite knowing this was a ruined surprise made by my kids to celebrate my birthday. While they may have thought a refund was sufficient, I disagree. If a cake is ordered for pick-up at a specific time, it should be ready then—not finished just within the last half hour before pick-up. It was clear the cake was still warm and should not have been handed over. In cases like this, I believe a refund, an apology, and at least a couple of complimentary cupcakes would have been a better gesture of goodwill—especially since I intended to buy six cupcakes after the cake problem. Instead, I received only the six cupcakes I paid for, with “Happy Birthday, Dad” piped on the box. Update (February 12, 2021): Since then, there have been changes. The new owner, who was still transitioning at the time of the incident, truly values customers. We had a great conversation, and he personally invited me back to apologize for the ruined surprise. Although not responsible, he felt bad and wanted to make it right. His genuine commitment, along with Dr. Brown’s vision for the bakery, assures me I will definitely return.

My stepdad did some electrical work for this restaurant. We tried cupcakes from here, and the frosting had the perfect level of sweetness. The cupcakes were very moist and never dry. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
